CNA Certification, Classes, Schools and Jobs in Mississippi

If you are considering a career as a CNA in Mississippi it is important to note that the average annual salary is about $19,000. Of course, there are opportunities to earn a higher income. If you want to enter into a career as a CNA, you will need to attend a training course (that has been accredited by the state) and pass the exam for certification of nursing assistants. You can also apply for certification through reciprocity if you hold certification in another state. Mississippi will determine whether or not they will recognize your certification from that state.

NMCC have a great CNA course for those who live in Mississippi. Their classes are all scheduled for evening timings and they have a total of 120 hours of theory/ knowledge based and practical sessions.

The fees are $350 which includes the tuition and the study materials that you will be given in class. They are strict on the payments and you have to pay in full before the classes start to secure a spot in the class. The student will also have to pay an extra $101 for the state approved competency test (both theory and practical).

They have strict rules for absentees, they will disqualify any student who misses more than 4 classes in the knowledge based classrooms and all the skills classes are compulsory (no classes can be missed on the skills part)
